On 8 September, we celebrated the 60th anniversary of Mlekarna Planika. Mr. Dejan Židan, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Food, was a guest and an honourable speaker at the ceremony. At the ceremony, we reminisced our journey with memories. Our dairy is the fourth largest dairy in Slovenia today, but the only diary, entirely run by farmers. Farmers are proud of Mlekarna Planika and live with it. As Director of the dairy, Anka Lipušček Miklavič, explained at the ceremony: “we are trying to be innovative in our products, to combine them with other local ingredients (trout, herbs), and we are preparing another novelty for 2018: we will open our organic estate in Bovec to the public, thus supplementing the Posočje tourist offer.”
