Cheese Planika is a semi-hard, full- fat cheese made of pasteurized, non-homogenized milk. We turn the cheese manually every day, as our ancestors did. It has a rich aroma and a pleasant sweet taste. The cheese is butter yellow in colour, the cross-section is quite densely riddled with eyes in the size of lentils.
It is matured on wooden shelves under controlled conditions. During this time, it develops an intense taste, which becomes more spicy, and the smell is more pronounced. As one of the few cheeses, Planika cheese with hard crust is sold without protective film and with no coating.
A wheel of cheese weighs about 2,8 kg. It is also vacuum packed in pieces.
