Milk from the farms of the Soča Valley and mountain pastures along the Soča Valley

"Our cows only eat grass; from April to October we graze them on steep slopes, and flatter area are machined and mowed for winter," says Marko Lapanja, a farmer from the region of the Soča Valley.

Grazing areas

“Cow is milked at its snout," says an old Slovene proverb. Natural and high quality fodder is a basic condition for quality milk and dairy products.

Processing milk in the traditional way

Milk Planika is non-homogenized and pasteurized, thus destroying all harmful microbes, and preserving all essential properties of raw, natural milk.

Higher quality products

Our raw material is exclusively local, Slovenian, deriving from Soča and Idrijca valleys. The shortest route from grower to producer is the key to maintaining food quality with all nutrients.

Eating good food

Milk contains all necessary nutrients. In addition to proteins, carbohydrates and fats, it also contains vitamins, soluble in fat and water, and a wide range of minerals.

Milk does not need to be cooked

With pasteurization, milk is heat treated to a temperature that destroys all harmful organisms in milk, so it does not need to be cooked.

Importance of authentic local food

Our products carry the energy of unspoiled nature, coming from the part of Slovenia, where the air is full of life energy, and nature is fairly beautiful and luxurious.

Even in the processing of milk and dairy products, we try to preserve the authenticity and tradition of our ancestors, without unnecessary interventions in natural processes.  Such foods are recognizable by its rich and traditional taste.

By local production and processing of food, we contribute to the preservation of nature, as we guarantee the use of domestic areas for food production and reduce pollution due to shorter transport routes.

Our aim is to contribute to the food safety of the population and to enable adults and children access genuine homemade quality food and thus an important source of vitality.
